Common ground: why shared training is good for everyone

In brief: appraisal exists to resolve disputed claims. When the professionals on a panel share the same foundation (the same understanding of their roles, protocols and documentation), they spend less time disputing process and more time reaching a well-supported resolution. That benefits every party to the claim.

A stronger profession starts with what we teach

The work appraisers and umpires do matters, and so does how we prepare people to do it. Our purpose is to help appraisers enter the field with stronger knowledge, practical skills and a shared understanding of their responsibilities.

Non-partisan by necessity

A foundation only works if the whole field trusts it. That is why this effort brings training providers, practitioners, umpires and educators to the same table rather than advancing any one program or perspective.

Better for the industry as a whole

Policyholders get faster resolution. Insurers get more consistent, defensible outcomes. Professionals get a common platform. Regulators get practical input from people who do the work. Working together, we can make it better.
